The Lakes Region Wavemakers is celebrating their 31th Winter Season this year! Since the fall of 1981, the Wavemakers, a not for profit swim team, has provided interested youth of the Lakes Region the opportunity to swim in a competitive developmental program.
We are a member of the New England Swimming, (a division of USA Swimming), the New Hampshire Swimming Association (NHSA), and during the summer session, the Granite State Swimming Association (GSSA).
OUR MISSION
We strive to provide a competitive swimming opportunity to area youth of all abilities in a supportive and challenging environment. Coaches, parents and swimmers work to foster the following ideals: sportsmanship, team pride, self-esteem, physical fitness, personal focus and balance, commitment to self-improvement, learning & practicing swimming techniques, and having fun!
OUR SWIMMERS
Many prominent Lakes Region business owners and citizens have swum as Wavemakers or have had children on the team. Currently our swimmers range in age from 5-19 years and travel to Laconia from many surrounding Lakes Region areas. The swimmer's
abilities range from novice to New England Championships level.

We have just completed our fifth annual SPRING WAVE CLINIC, it was an excellent opportunity to get a jump start on the summer season and to try out what it might be like to be on a swim team. The swimmers and coaches all worked very hard during these four weeks.
