The Wavemakers are excited to share information about the upcoming 25/26 season. Practices will be held at the Plymouth State University Natatorium. Practices will be 4 days most weeks and will be Mondays through Thursdays at 6:00-7:30. There is a full coaching staff with both past regulars and several new coaches. Coach Dave is working on a meet schedule with the same familiar pools in NH and VT. There will be 2 options for the cost of the season per swimmer. The options include a 1-time payment of $675, or 2 payments of $350. These fees include pool costs for practices. Practices will start in September, and run through March. Each swimmer must be a member of USA Swimming. The cost is an additional $98 over and above the Wavemaker season fee. 

For those new to the Wavemakers or swim teams in general, here is a bit more information. The Wavemakers are a competitive swim team and have been an active swim team in the greater lakes region for over 40 years. Swimmers can attend as many of the weekly practices that work for your schedule - no mandatory number of practices.  Meets are also optional and families can attend as many of our scheduled meets as you prefer. Fees for meets are set by the host team and are paid for each meet separately. During practices we focus on learning/improving technique and building stamina and endurance. 

We have had swimmers as young as 5, but it’s important that new swimmers can swim at least 2 lengths without stopping and know some basic rudiments of strokes including putting the face in the water and breathing. We will work on strokes, starts, and turns. We have gatherings throughout the year including an end-of-season banquet. The Lakes Region Wavemakers team is a parent-board run/owned team, and the board meets throughout the season to plan events and order caps and T-shirts.
